Over the weekend a first cousin’s wedding in Fayetteville, Arkansas, made possible a side trip to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.
Of course I’d read about the facilities, and watched a special several months ago on CBS Sunday Morning, but was only semi-prepared for the magnificent architecture and world class collections made possible by a nearly $1.8 billion investment from Wal-Mart heiress Alice Walton. By the way, that pricetag’s before a single masterpiece was ever brought in the door.
It’s magnificent. Enjoy a few of our photos from the trip.

a must see! worth the trip, just plan a bit of time if you are a museum/art lover, you will need it 🙂
